Pi Epsilon Tau is the national honor society of petroleum engineers. We are a student led organization that promotes a closer bond between its student members and industry, to broaden the scope of activities of members, and to maintain the high ideals and standards of the engineering profession.

Pi Epsilon Tau 2011 Fall Induction

The Pi Epsilon Tau fall induction ceremony will be on Nov. 17 (Thursday) at 6:30 pm in RICH 308 & 309.

Replant Day, Saturday Oct. 22

On October 22, 2011, Lindsey McIntosh, Hani Bahjam, Chris McCoy and Garrick Brugeyroux participated in Replant Day, a one-day environmental service project . The volunteers helped out at this event by planting trees in the Bryan/College Station community.

 

 

PiET First General Meeting, Thursday Sep. 29

The first Pi Epsilon Tau meeting will be on Thursday Sep. 29, at 6:30 pm in RICH 308 & 309.

The meeting will be about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and fall induction. Prospective members are welcome to join (get to know the current members and learn about the requirements of joining PiET)!

Super Techno Science Night @ Southwood Valley Elementary - April 12, 2011

Mohammad Tabatabaei, Darick Lim, Cassandra Oeth, Connie Pei, and Afif Jais went to Southwood Valley Elementary School on April 12th for the Super Techno Science Night.  Amy Zou helped with set-up.  They utilized a classroom to set up stations showing drill bits, frac gel, core samples, etc, to educate elementary school kids and their parents about petroleum engineering.

Visiting AVID Students

On April 1, 2011, Cassandra Oeth, Connie Pei, and Michael Pickering went to Cypress Grove Intermediate School to visit with the AVID students.  The volunteers presented an engineering ethics problem and talked about the importance of working hard.

 

 

On April 8, 2011, Darick Lim, Cassandra Oeth, and Connie Pei visited AVID students at College Station Middle School.

Spring Induction Monday 2/28 7 PM, RICH 308/309

Howdy!  The spring induction starts at Monday, 2/28, at 7 PM in RICH 308/309.  If you are an inductee and you still need to turn in your signature sheet and $60 check payable to Pi Epsilon Tau, please show up at 6:15-6:30 PM so we can start on time.
